I am just leaving Denmark after a very enjoyable tour with the ace Canadian banjo picker Leonard Podolak. We worked up a show together where we each did our own songs and then played together for a few as well. It made for a rocking and varied set which seemed to please the good people who turned out to see us. We finished up at the legendary Hagges Musik Pub in Tønder, the town where we had met so many times before at the Tønder Folk Festival. It felt very much like coming home. We both had so many warm memories of all the festivals and the great times here. Any musician who played Tønder will tell you the same thing, there is no festival quite like Tønder. Thanks to Maja Rothhart for these photos.
