I have been rehearsing here in my cabin in Sweden, with my friend the piano player Gustav Andersson, and we decided to make some recordings of the session. Here is the first one, ‘Tears of Isis’ from my second album ‘Palace of Tears’. This song particularly suits Gustav’s sensitive piano playing. We have a show coming up in Malmköping at the end of the month, just before I fly to England for a tour.
‘Tears of Isis’ is a song I wrote for my ancestors, the Isis in this song refers to the Egyptian goddess (not the other lot). I don’t know too much about our distant ancestors but one thing I can be sure of, is that they had much harder lives than I have had; they survived, for which I thank them. Free to stream here.
